Learning from your guitar hero

Everybody guitar player has a guitar hero.
Somebody we can learn a great deal from.
The trap is to put the player on such a pedastal that our mind refuses to acknowledge that we can learn from them. They have two hands, two ears and use the same fretboard as us.
